The Season Isn't Over

World-Class Trout When Everyone Else Has Packed Up

While most rivers close over winter, the Lake Dunstan Delta and lower Clutha stay open, and fish every bit as well as the height of summer. Nymphing, streamers or sight-fishing, we tailor the day to the conditions and the angler.

The difference is access. Our inflatable jet boat reaches water most anglers can't get to. Untouched, unpressured, spectacular.

Open Season, All Year Round

Canal Fishing, Mackenzie Country Monsters

The Tekapo–Twizel canals hold some of the world's biggest trout. Fish here easily top 20lb, with some over 30lb, all under the snow-capped Southern Alps.

Ben Booth, Jayden Johns and Scotty Miller fish these canals year round, so we know where the fish are holding. You'll learn the rigging, the subtle bite detection and how to fight a monster on light gear.
